Farnborough International Airshow Chauffeur Service
17 to 21 July 2028. Farnborough International, Hampshire.
The Farnborough International Airshow runs from 17 to 21 July 2028. The date is further out than it looks, because the show is biennial and runs in even years only: there was no show in 2025 and there is none in 2027. It is also a working trade week rather than a weekend out. The 2026 edition ran Monday to Friday for trade and opened to the public on the Friday alone, drew 141,580 visitors from 136 countries, and hosted deals the organiser puts at over $84.7 billion.

What a Chauffeur Changes About This Week
Farnborough is the one event in this set where the roads change for weeks rather than for a day. For the 2026 show the organiser published a traffic and transport management plan developed with Hampshire County Council and Hampshire Police, under which build up traffic began in mid June, several closures came in from 13 July, show week measures landed on 19 July, full measures ran across the show itself, and some restrictions stayed until 30 July. Named measures included the Trenchard Way closure, road closures during flying displays, a reversal on Park Road and restrictions on the A325. A driver working that week is navigating a road network that is temporarily not the one on the map, which is exactly the situation where knowing the plan beats knowing the postcode.
Planning Your Arrival
Tell us which day you are going and whether you are attending on a trade pass or a public ticket, because the two are different weeks. The organiser strongly encourages public transport and runs free shuttles from Farnborough Main, North Camp and Aldershot stations to Gate B between 07:00 and 19:00, with Farnborough Main about 35 minutes from London Waterloo. If being driven suits you better, allow considerably more time than the distance suggests: the organiser itself warns of high traffic volumes and asks visitors to allow extra time. Blue Badge holders park free on site in Car Park 6 with an accessible service into the show from Gate F. There is no visitor EV charging during the show.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the next Farnborough International Airshow?
It runs from Monday 17 to Friday 21 July 2028. The show is biennial and runs in even years, so there is no airshow in 2027. Be aware that the organiser’s FAQ and resources pages still answered this with the 2026 dates when this page was written; the 2028 dates come from the organiser’s post show release and its own homepage.
Is Farnborough open to the public?
In 2026 it opened to the public on the Friday only, under a ticket branded Pioneers of Tomorrow, with Monday to Friday reserved for trade visitors. Those public tickets sold out and were not available on the gate. The organiser has not yet published whether 2028 repeats that structure.
How bad is traffic around the Farnborough Airshow?
Significant, and for far longer than the show. The 2026 traffic plan, agreed with Hampshire County Council and Hampshire Police, phased measures in from mid June and held some restrictions until 30 July. The organiser warned of increased traffic in the mornings and late afternoons and delays on surrounding roads.
Can a chauffeur drop me at the Farnborough Airshow site?
Yes. Tell us the gate you need and we will plan the approach around the traffic measures in force that week rather than around a postcode. Heathrow is roughly 30 minutes away by car, which makes a car sensible if you are arriving by air for the trade days.
