British Grand Prix Chauffeur Service

Dates to be announced. Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire.

Silverstone’s own event page reads "Date to be announced" and Formula 1 has not published a 2027 calendar. Resellers are advertising a date. A reseller is not the organiser, so no date appears here until Silverstone publishes one.

The Formula 1 British Grand Prix returns to Silverstone in 2027, and the date is not yet set. Silverstone’s own event page says so in as many words, and Formula 1 has published no 2027 calendar at all. What is already known is the shape of it. The British Grand Prix is a four day event rather than a race day, it drew 564,000 people across those four days in 2026, and the crowd builds steeply: 72,000 on the Thursday against 175,000 on the Sunday.

What a Chauffeur Changes About This Week

Silverstone is a circuit in open Northamptonshire countryside that has to absorb a city’s worth of people down a small number of A roads, and the 2026 figures show why the day you attend changes the journey completely. Thursday admitted 72,000 people and Sunday 175,000, so the same postcode is two different problems depending on your ticket. Silverstone runs park and ride sites and shuttle buses from towns across the region for the Grand Prix, and it publishes that arrangement close to the event rather than months out. Until the 2027 date exists, the useful thing to plan is the shape: arrive earlier than the distance suggests, and expect the exit to take longer than the approach on the race day itself.

Planning Your Arrival

Silverstone has not published either the 2027 date or its 2027 travel arrangements, and the two usually arrive together, so anything specific about park and ride sites or road closures for that year would be invention on our part. What holds year to year is the geography. The circuit sits on the A43 between the M1 and the M40, roughly 60 minutes south of Birmingham and 90 minutes north of central London, and Silverstone notes that roadworks on the A43 between Towcester and the circuit can add time. Tell us your day and your gate once you have them and we will plan against the arrangements published for that year.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the 2027 British Grand Prix?

It has not been announced. Silverstone lists the event as "Date to be announced" and Formula 1 has not published a 2027 calendar. Some ticket resellers are advertising specific dates; those are not the organiser and should not be booked around. Silverstone says general tickets go on sale in September 2026.

Why does this page not show a date when other sites do?

Because the sites showing one are not Silverstone. Every fact on this page traces to a source we list at the bottom, and no source that is actually the organiser has published a 2027 date yet. We would rather show you nothing than a date that turns out to be a guess.

Which day of the British Grand Prix is busiest?

Sunday, by a wide margin. In 2026 the four days ran 72,000 on Thursday, 150,000 on Friday, 167,000 on Saturday and 175,000 on Sunday, from a record total of 564,000. Thursday is the calmest day to arrive and leave.

How far is Silverstone from London and Birmingham?

Silverstone puts the circuit at about 90 minutes north of central London via the M40 and the A43, and about 60 minutes south of Birmingham along the A43 from the M1. It also warns that roadworks between Towcester and the circuit can add to that.
